On May 11, Leon was driving in a rural area of southwest Miami-Dade when he and his passengers saw a large snake in the road. The man pulled over to get a closer look of the reptile, who was only sticking out three feet from a bush.

Leon began to pull the animal out of its hiding place, when the Burmese python began to wrap itself around his leg. His friends stepped out to his rescue, using a knife to kill the snake. They discover it was and 18-foot, 8-inch female python, according to the news site.
