Big Burmese python
The new invasive species that we are having to deal with is the giant Burmese Pythons. According to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, there have been over 1 million Burmese Pythons imported into the U.S. from 2001 and 2006. In the Everglades alone, there are already an estimated 30, 000 pythons that are making there homes there. Most of these snakes are suspected pets that people have let loose because they have grown to large. These massive snakes can grow up to 30 feet long and 200 pounds.
With all of these Snakes slithering around, the question is "What do we do with them?". Some peoples answer is to open a new hunting season. For me, I think that a big Burmese Python mounted on the wall would be a great addition to any house. In some states, its ok to hunt reptiles and all you need is a fishing license. Theres nothing official yet on a Burmese hunting season, but with the threat of a python climbing out of your toilet increasing everyday, i bet that it wont be to long.
